L'Escale sur Paris

I had a great time with my friends, but it's the kind of Parisian place where you have to know the people because otherwise you'll be stuck at the counter for 10 minutes and they won't even notice you... They serve everyone else by talking to them, but not you.

Food was great and the view of the seine was incredible! However, it took over an hour and a half for it to arrive. Waiters were apologetic, but we asked three times for water and were only given it on the fourth time. Although, food was really delicious, there were lots of things on their already small menu that were sold out.

Sunday lunchtime chicken and chips is perfect!

This place is a 10 out of 10 in absolutely every way. Perfect location by the river for enjoying a drink with beautiful views. The quality of every dish is exquisite. Perfect for experiencing the true atmosphere of Europe. Great music and excellent service from all the staff. It will definitely be one of my favorite places in Paris.

Lovely neighborhood spot close to notre dame. The place is bustling and the seats are close but that adds to the atmosphere. Menu is simple which is great if that matches your French skills :) The star of the show here on a Sunday is the classic roast chicken with frites which is an absolute show stopper. Wine list is abbreviated to match the food menu but matches perfectly in any combination which is a real plus. They were also accommodating of our 3-year-old which is not a guarantee in Paris. Highly recommend!!

When you are told about a great place and it surpasses expectation and recommendations by miles 👌🎈 will never again return to Paris without planning a meal here

The food is good, the staff and atmosphere are friendly. Even just having a drink is really cool. Recommended place 👍

Fun dive bar atmosphere, really feels like a local (full of people who know each other having drinks). Food was excellent (super classic French) and the steak frites in particular. The one negative was the service, we had a waiter who was possibly over busy on a Sunday night (with tables on terrace across the street too) but who barely stayed at our table long enough for us to finish a sentence and threw the food down. The food also came in dribs and drabs so we ate 3 dishes individually rather than as a course. Would definitely go back though, when I have plenty of time!

€ 9,50 for a bad croissant and mediocre hot chocolate, but the sunny morning terras was very nice.
