Very friendly and welcoming restaurant

Beautiful place, an amazing oven, but I think you could do much better with the pizzas. A selection of thin crust pizzas, which is good in itself, but everything is there... Otherwise, great service and it's a popular spot on the port of La Ciotat.

A very friendly restaurant, perfect for families or groups of friends. The menu is very varied, I highly recommend it.

Superb welcome, a fantastic owner who truly understands service and why his restaurant is called that. The dining room was packed, but we were comfortably seated in the middle of the passageway with only one table for two. Our daughter and I were perfectly at ease. There were many locals; everyone seemed to know each other. The children's pizza was actually a large four-cheese pizza because she had a choice of four cheeses, but the size was a mistake. We were served three plates: the gratinated mussels were splendid, and the seafood pasta was a gargantuan portion. I must admit, the sauce could have used a touch more white wine, in my opinion. This establishment remains a must-visit; I highly recommend it. Their hospitality is hard to beat! 👍👍👍

Absolutely perfect!!! From the welcome to the food, and of course the service!

Honestly, the best restaurant on the port. I've tried several places along the port in La Ciotat, but L'Escalet really stands out. The dishes and desserts are excellent, the portions are generous, and the staff is super friendly. A sure bet!

First of all, a great atmosphere, the food is delicious... Italian art, a touch of Italy... I recommend it.

I've been stopping by here for lunch or dinner for at least two years now when I'm in the area for work. I don't eat 100% Italian or French food, but I EAT WELL, I pay the right price, and the owners are friendly. Come here, you won't regret it. It's truly top-notch (and I'm not telling you, just look at the full/empty tables of the neighbors). And yes, they deserve it, if only there were more of them! 😉

A table of 6 whose reservation wasn't honored was free, what luck! 😁 However, the service was very slow; we waited a long time to get our menus and orders (the waiters were watching a football game on TV...). Otherwise, the food was good. The only downside was the pizza/passion, which was small and sparsely garnished.
