I highly recommend this restaurant, just steps from the port of Cassis. My husband and I had a wonderful time. It started with discovering a variety of homemade tapas from L'Escalier, which we enjoyed during our aperitif. Their fish soup and homemade gnocchi are excellent, melt-in-your-mouth tender, whether stuffed or plain with a morel sauce—a real treat! Their wine is also good. The owners are very welcoming; the chef even comes out of her own kitchen to greet her customers and ask if they enjoyed their meal. It's no wonder they've been featured in the Petit Futé and Routard guides for years. The value for money is unbeatable. Thank you again for the lovely time we spent at your establishment last night! 😉

A wonderful little restaurant in the narrow streets of old Cassis, ideally located to escape the tourists and the port restaurants. The welcome is simple and warm. We particularly enjoyed their revisited and simplified version of bouillabaisse for €31. It was delicious and ticked all the boxes.

17/06/2026: We loved this restaurant for its helpfulness (they found us a table on our first night even though we hadn't booked), the kindness of the extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, the quality of the food, and the welcoming atmosphere. A highly recommended experience that we'll definitely repeat.
16/06/2026: We had a wonderful time at Le Clos des Arômes restaurant. A really lovely place, especially pleasant in the summer! The staff were welcoming, friendly, and attentive. From the appetizers to the desserts, everything was delicious and plentiful.
