I've been enjoying this restaurant for a very long time, so even though it's not something I usually do, I'm taking the time to express how much I enjoy eating there in a peaceful setting, whether with family or colleagues. The food is excellent, with great value for money, a friendly and professional owner, quality service, and spaces for different group sizes. I highly recommend it for lunch or dinner in Saint-Étienne.

It's almost unnecessary to leave a review... the quality of the products, the food, and the service is consistently excellent. It's hard to find anything comparable. We've been going at least once a quarter for years, and the pleasure is always renewed. The €38 menu is truly unbeatable value for money. See you soon!

An evening discovering a renowned restaurant in Saint-Étienne. The escargot starter was superb. For the main course, I had duck breast and my wife had octopus. Both dishes were simple yet exquisitely prepared, showcasing the ingredients expertly used by the chef. The wine pairing was excellent. I commend the chef and the staff. I highly recommend L'Escargot d'Or.

14/02/2026: We came for Valentine's Day dinner, and it was our first experience there—fantastic from start to finish. The dining room is truly beautiful, with a very warm and elegant atmosphere. The food was delicious and well worth the price, as the portions were generous and full of flavor. My sincere respect to the owner, who runs the restaurant single-handedly all evening while still taking the time to chat with his customers and providing impeccable service. I highly recommend you come and discover it; you won't regret it.
