You probably wouldn't think of having lunch in a tobacconist's... And yet, surely an exception in Le Bouscat, the tobacconist is a chef! Simple and very good, what more could you want at lunchtime? Unusual, L'Espérance on the corner offers taste, flavors, and the chef's modesty.

Thank you to the chef for preparing a vegetarian dish that wasn't on the menu, and to the rest of the team as the service was impeccable! It had been a long time since I'd eaten in a bar/tobacconist, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you.

19/09/2026: Atmosphere, service, and food: never disappointed, whether for lunch or dinner. Lovely terrace. Affordable prices. I highly recommend it.
18/08/2026: Excellent spot that brings the local scene to life. Impeccable service (the terrace is a joyful and cheerful place). The food is very good and varied; my only slight criticism is about the butcher's cut—I prefer raw shallots to caramelized ones. The bar is very well-stocked; they even have Rye Whisky.
