The owners were very welcoming. The classic local cuisine was cooked fresh to order. The service was quick and friendly, all for a reasonable price.
It's best to book in advance or arrive before the Matisse Museum closes at midday.

While passing through Le Cateau-Cambrésis to visit the Matisse Museum, we received a warm welcome at this traditional Flemish café. It had a lovely, slightly Flemish feel. I highly recommend it for a simple but very pleasant stop; the staff were incredibly attentive.
