The Flemish tavern, what can I say... you're completely transported back to the atmosphere of the North of that era. Being from the area, I rediscovered my childhood, both in the food and the ambiance.
Thank you to the waitresses for their cheerfulness and to the owner for his down-to-earth nature!

I came for the carnival and discovered the city of Dunkirk. This pub has an amazing atmosphere, a warm welcome, fantastic owners, wonderful waitresses, and delicious local food (Flemish carbonnade and chicken with Maroilles cheese... a delight 🤤). See you next year! 🥳🥳🥳

I ordered a potchvleesh, having had it elsewhere before, and this time it was a disappointment. The meat wasn't deboned, there were no vegetables, no onions, no juniper berries—in short, it was bland. Only the fries were decent. Perhaps I caught them on a bad day; maybe it's not their specialty. Next time, I'll try the Maroilles cheese version.

Everything was perfect for a carnival weekend: the atmosphere was electric, and we'll cherish the memory for a long time. Thank you to all the carnival-goers who were there on Saturday at lunchtime!
The food was regional and delicious, and the Estaminet's decor was unique and welcoming: the walls were covered with photos of loyal (or perhaps just passing?) carnival-goers.

We highly recommend it. The quality of the local dishes, the service, the decor, the prices, the friendly atmosphere with the other diners, the welcome—everything comes together for a superb experience in this simple and authentic Estaminet!
