L'Estrambord sur La Grande-Motte

Food: For my starter, I chose the six gratinated mussels with a snail butter sauce. They were good, but the presentation was very simple, and the lack of a small side dish, like a salad, was a shame considering the price. For my main course, I ordered an XXL ribeye steak for €32. Unfortunately, only the price was XXL. The piece of meat was rather small and served with frozen fries, which is disappointing at this price point. For dessert, I had a large ice cream sundae to finish the meal, and this time, it was a success. In the end, the food is good, but the value for money doesn't seem satisfactory to me. Service: No complaints. The staff is pleasant, smiling, and attentive. When I mentioned that my ribeye steak wasn't cooked rare as requested, the team reacted quickly to find a solution. Professional and commendable service. Atmosphere: The terrace is very pleasant and well-shaded, and the restaurant's interior is clean and nicely decorated. It's a welcoming setting that makes you want to sit down. Overall opinion: A mixed experience. The setting and service are definite strengths, but the food, while acceptable, doesn't justify the prices in my opinion, especially for the main courses. It's a shame, because with better value for money, the experience would be much more compelling.

Great, friendly place with a fantastic welcome! The tapas were amazing!

We came for lunch on Saturday with our dog (a boxer). We received a very warm welcome. The waiter (perhaps the owner) was very friendly and attentive. The beef tartare was delicious and generous! We went back for lunch today before hitting the road again, and the service was still excellent. The tomato and burrata salad was a delight, as generous as ever, and beautifully presented! We'll be back as soon as we're back down!
