Lunch alone on August 20th, I chose the dish of the day, waited 35 minutes, and the waitress offered no apology for this unacceptable delay. Disappointed with this experience.

Nice place to eat. We were staying at campsite La Plaine Tonique but wanted to eat out somewhere else for a change. Very friendly service; I always try to speak French and they actually make an effort to speak English. The chicken en Bresse was highly recommended! And a very nice outdoor terrace!

Very good, it's a shame the waitresses weren't very friendly. It's also a shame we had to ask for bread and water. Finally, it's a shame people can smoke on the terrace; we shouldn't have to put up with that inconvenience. The burger and fries were very good otherwise.

I sometimes come to this restaurant for a drink, but yesterday I came to eat. Comfortably seated on the terrace, we ordered a glass of wine and the daily special, mussels marinière. I was very disappointed; it's a dish I love, but the mussels were tiny, too salty, and, most importantly, way overcooked. The fries were good, so I ate them down to the last bit, because given the size of the mussels, I was really hungry. And we had to ask the waiter for water four times. I'm definitely not happy with my meal.

Very well located. However, the tables and chairs are all crammed together. And it would be great to have misting fans outside given the heat. Otherwise, the staff are very friendly.

Edessa Kebab

19/03/2026: It's simple, it's the only kebab shop in the area I go to. For me, it's the best in Bourg and the surrounding area, and I've been going there with my family for years, so I don't understand the negative reviews. We've always been well served by the owner and the staff. The kebabs are very generous and well-filled, the meat is excellent and high quality—I don't know of a better kebab shop. Plus, it's clean and hygienic, unlike other kebab shops I've seen in the past. And most of the time, it's very quick. I think the negative reviews come from competitors because I've never gotten sick or had any problems. They've never made a mistake with the sauces or anything else in the order. I highly recommend it!
02/03/2026: It's strange when I read the reviews because, having been there twice in the last two months, I was very satisfied. Everyone says their store is the best in town, and that's pretty much what I'd say about this one. I'll confirm this opinion in a few weeks.

23/07/2026: A wonderful time shared!! If you're looking for excellent value for money with great service, I recommend eating at La Buvette. The chef has created menus with quality and flavor. I've finally found a restaurant that meets my high standards in every way!! Congratulations and thank you to the whole team and the after-dinner drinks 😉
16/07/2026: A great place in Bourg-en-Bresse to treat yourself. Enjoy appetizers or daily specials. They also have a wine cellar for wine, beer, and spirits lovers.
