Very disappointed 😞 I used to come often and always recommended this place, but what a letdown on my last visit!!! A long wait despite very few customers, many orders were forgotten, and jokes between servers in front of customers were in extremely poor taste.

Excellent restaurant, whether food, location or service wise.
Everything is homemade, and the ice cream flavors come from a professional ice cream maker.
The lamb gigot au jus, the millefeuille were delicious. Actually, everything the five of us ate was.
Special shout out to our waiter, Enzo. She was very knowledgeable and advising us which champagne to sip, which wine pairings to make with our main dishes, and all with a fantastic smile.

Given the location of this restaurant, I assumed it would be 'mediocre' food for tourists, but as our party wanted different dishes, it fitted our needs. I was pleasantly surprised that the food was good, 2 of us had the mussels- which were very tasty indeed, and the pasta dish was reported to be delicious too.
We sat outside as there's lots of 'people watching' to be had. Service was a little slow (this was generally the experience in a number of restaurants) but the waiter was friendly and efficient when he took our order.

We received a very warm welcome at L'Illustré. The dishes were very good, well presented and served in a reasonable quantity. A special mention goes to our server, originally from Saint-Étienne (near us), who was very friendly, dynamic and attentive. Servers with these qualities are unfortunately too rare these days.
