A wonderful family experience at L'Inattendu. The four-course menu included appetizers and desserts. Everything was excellent, perfectly cooked, with original and appealing flavor combinations, even for those with a more discerning palate like mine. The service was impeccable and the wait time was perfect.

We appreciated several things during our business lunch. First, the restaurant is open on Monday evenings, which is a real gem in this city. Second, the dishes were delicious and original, according to our four guests. The service can be provided in French or English, which avoids the hassle of translating for non-French speakers. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, the dining room is air-conditioned, which was a welcome bonus during this heatwave. Keep up the good work—it's a winning formula!

A true discovery! The surprise menu concept is perfectly executed. Each dish is a surprise, both visually and in terms of taste. Local produce is showcased with great creativity and finesse. The attentive service makes the experience even more enjoyable. A must-visit in Grenoble.

22/04/2026: It's truly a home-style kitchen, run by the chef and his wife, offering delicious dishes. We tried their signature dish, "lamb shank," as well as the beef dish served on skewers. Both dishes were tasty; however, at €27 each, we expected a more generous portion (especially the skewer). Furthermore, the dishes didn't come with any vegetables. Aside from that, the welcome was very warm and the service was quick.
11/04/2026: Lamb shank with excellent homemade polenta!!!
