It's excellent, and a special mention goes to the cuttlefish tagliatelle carbonara, which is absolutely divine! Special mention also goes to the drinks list, which, despite seeming old-fashioned, is a treasure trove of discoveries! Don't miss it under any circumstances!

Great find! We chose thé set menu with Salmon starter & cod main (which sounds quite boring) and were amazed by thé creativity, tastes & detail in thé dishes. Similarly with thé desserts of îles flottantes & nougat parfait, all accompagnied by a lovely Chablis chosén directly from thé wine cellar. Thé cheese trolley looked fab but we were too full to try it. Great service too!

What a delightful surprise lunch at L'Océanic! The ingredients were of exceptional quality, the grilled lobster was superb, the king crab dim sum was delicious, and the Grand Marnier soufflé was flawless. Truly excellent cuisine, very pleasant service, and a superb local wine. I'll be back very soon...

Discovered by chance at lunchtime today, right at the last minute! The four of us arrived at the end of service. We ordered the set lunch menu for €22; the seared salmon was excellent, as was the glazed cod. Perfectly cooked, bursting with flavor! And beautifully presented. The garlic and herb fromage blanc was far superior to many a Lyonnaise cervelle de canut (a type of cheese spread), a delicious frozen nougat. We paired it with a lovely, very fruity rosé from Chinon. In short, a wonderful culinary experience! As I was leaving, I saw that the restaurant is for sale due to retirement; I sincerely hope you find someone capable of continuing your wonderful cuisine. Thank you.

We spent 10 days in France and this was our best restaurant experience. The restaurant was recommended by a vintner in town. We spent several nights in Paris, Normandy, Tours. .. L'Oceanics food was the best by far. .. Flavorful, savory, purposeful in presentation... a robust wine selection... Friendly staff. Go there if you are in Chinon.
