Wow, a not-to-be-missed restaurant. My wife and I were on a walk from Amboise to Tours and were spending the night in Chinon. We had wandered by the restaurant during the day and decided to return at night.
What a wonderful experience. The food was superb. Rather than a wine list, it has a wine room and are server accompanied me there to pick a wine. Chinon is in the Loire Valley, known for its white wines, so we went with a Loire Valley wine and were very pleased. The service was also fantastic without being intrusive.
Can recommend the restaurant with out any reservations (unintended pun)!

Absolutely phenomenal dinner! 32€ for an appetizer, main and dinner, and the food was so good! One of the best meals I’ve had in France. Of particular note, the tagliatelle was amazing as was the crab dim sum.

The woman serving us had a very negative attitude towards dietary requirements & made us feel unwelcome.

Tasty and interesting menu of food, coupled with courteous, friendly staff and professional service. The restaurant is not overly cluttered but has relaxing decor and interesting items on display. Great food exquisitely served on innovative and varied plates and bowls that complement the food. A lovely experience. We had really enjoyed eating here three years ago and it’s still excellent.

What a find, tucked off the main square this restaurant is terrific. The welcome was lovely and the Plat du Jour was the best I have eaten anywhere in France or beyond. We were treated to Haute Cuisine, taste wise, visual presentation anat all for 22€.

Recommended restaurant. Top service and delicious food, good cuisine.
Due to retirement age, the owners are looking for successors. Definitely recommended for anyone looking for a challenge in the restaurant business.

It's excellent, and a special mention goes to the cuttlefish tagliatelle carbonara, which is absolutely divine! Special mention also goes to the drinks list, which, despite seeming old-fashioned, is a treasure trove of discoveries! Don't miss it under any circumstances!

Great find! We chose thé set menu with Salmon starter & cod main (which sounds quite boring) and were amazed by thé creativity, tastes & detail in thé dishes. Similarly with thé desserts of îles flottantes & nougat parfait, all accompagnied by a lovely Chablis chosén directly from thé wine cellar. Thé cheese trolley looked fab but we were too full to try it. Great service too!
