The food is certainly okay, but it takes an enormous amount of time to be served. 3 hours for a suggested 3-course menu is really excessive.

We came for lunch today with our two daughters and it was perfect... The food was absolutely delicious... The staff were lovely; we ordered one dish for both of our daughters and they were able to separate everything ;) Absolutely fantastic... I highly recommend it...

They charge for the carafe of water because it's supposedly distilled, which is illegal because they don't tell you when you order. It makes tap water expensive.

A restaurant worthy of its reputation. The €32 set menu (starter, main course, dessert) was perfect. The service was very pleasant. We recommend this restaurant.

On a wine tasting tour in Chinon, had lunch off and ended up here. No regrets, because this was very good. Relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic service. Delicious food and drinks. We shared the starter, white asparagus - gorgeous. For the main course my beautiful wife chose cod, while I chose turbot. Both dishes were fantastic. Together with a local white wine, Chenin blanc, it was perfect. We finished with cheese (the beautiful wife 😍) and le souffle au grand mariner (me). Highly recommend a visit!

14/07/2026: A very long wait to be served. Nevertheless, I'm giving 5 stars because our waitress was profuse in her apologies and offered a gesture of goodwill. The restaurant business is difficult; sometimes you have to be tolerant of people who are often trying their best.
11/07/2026: The food is homemade and reasonably priced, and the house wine is quite respectable. You won't find better at this price. Perhaps one could expect a coffee that's a bit more flavorful, more concentrated, more Italian.

02/03/2026: A bit disappointed with the quality of the hot meal and the completely wrecked parking lot, which is a shame.
25/02/2026: A roadside diner-style restaurant at the entrance to Chinon. The decor is rather old-fashioned, but it has its charm. Quick and efficient service for a hearty and generous cuisine.
