L'Ombrine sur La Grande-Motte

We ordered a single dish, it was very good, well seasoned, neat presentation, discreet and efficient service.

Very good restaurant, the mussels and fries with Roquefort cheese were excellent, and the waiter's recommendation of the white wine was perfect. Good value for money. I recommend it.

Ideally located restaurant near the port. Seats are available on the terrace or in the air-conditioned dining room. Efficient and pleasant staff. We had lunch there today; the Americano aperitif wasn't very fresh. The service was a bit too rushed; our glasses were taken away before we had finished, and the same for the empty plates, which were removed as soon as we put our forks down (we'll mop up the sauce next time!). We were very disappointed with the scallop risotto; the scallops were much too overcooked. The mussels were good, but there was quite a bit of byssus (mussel shell) that hadn't been removed. In the end, the bill was rather hefty for a meal that didn't live up to expectations. A fair amount of patience was required to pay by card; there were significant network problems.

What a disappointment!! 3 hours to eat 2 courses, I had to ask and ask again, they threw a spoon on the table because they'd forgotten about dessert… at the price of the menu, we expected something else. €50 per person without drinks… never again 🤨

For the past five years, I've been coming here once a year. Whether with family or my partner, honestly, don't change a thing. Always so good, fresh ingredients, and attentive staff! It's my favorite little restaurant in La Grande Motte! Once again, I've lost count, and it's always excellent! Thank you again!

Excellent restaurant. By the way, the mussels and fries are worth the trip; they're plump and served in generous portions.

Tourists passing through La Grande Motte, we must admit the fish was very good... however, for set menus costing €40 and €50, fresh bread would have been expected, as the bread we ordered at noon, according to the waitress, was served at 8 pm. No, that's unacceptable. Furthermore, this isn't fast food; please make an effort with the service. It wasn't very welcoming for this type of restaurant, especially considering the €165 bill for three people! A little smile would be appreciated.

Lovely restaurant, loved the starters, but we but had the St Pierre for main at 30 euros each and it was barely defrosted from the freezer, no taste and inedible. When we complained, it was clearly no surprise and they offered to change, but we had finished (not eating the fish) 10 mins before ....really!!!! We shared a desert and left paying full price (150 euro for 2 ... two glasses of wine) with no apology or care from staff. Real shame, could have been good if they cared.
