Long Hai sur Le Bouscat

Incredible food, as always. A friendly, family-run restaurant; you feel right at home and the dishes are excellent. I highly recommend it for an everyday meal or for a truly memorable culinary experience.

I've eaten at Long Hai several times now. The service is always perfect, and the food is EXCELLENT. So flavorful, so fragrant... I love it. I absolutely recommend it. And I especially loved the fondue menu...

The decor is modern, the service is very pleasant, but the wait is usually long (over an hour for your food). The quality of the food is quite inconsistent; sometimes it's a real treat, absolutely delicious, and other times it's a huge disappointment. For example, the daifuku mochi are truly uninteresting, €6 for two tiny ones, and they're just two mass-produced ones from the supermarket, costing €2.50/€3 for a box of 12. I know this because before I started making them myself, I used to buy them regularly. In terms of prices, this restaurant is about 35% more expensive than the average Vietnamese restaurant, sometimes justified by the quality of the homemade food, sometimes much less so, and therefore very disappointing, as with the mochi. The portions aren't huge either.

The food was very fresh, delicious, and full of flavor. The portions were generous and well-presented. The only slight drawback was the wait. The service was a bit slow. There were also people looking for takeout, which made the service even longer. But the wait was worth it.
