Restaurant at the foot of the castle. Beautiful setting. The owner and staff were very welcoming and kind. The food was extraordinarily good and the dishes were beautifully presented. Everything was perfect. Highly recommended!

Passing through Saumur, we stopped for lunch at L’Orangeraie de Saumur, at the foot of the castle. The view of the castle was breathtaking, and the terrace was very pleasant. We were able to enjoy a simple lunch with my son. The service was friendly and efficient, and the food was good. The price was very reasonable. I recommend it.

Excellent experience! The starter, main course, and dessert were all of very high quality. A special mention for the finger dessert—it was truly fantastic, and right across from the castle! 😉😋 What more could you ask for! 😝

The restaurant is in a spectacular location, next to the castle, and is free to enter.
The service was very friendly and fast, which is rare in the Loire Valley.
The food was quite good.

Magnificent restaurant with a breathtaking view of Saumur Castle and the Loire River below.
The dishes are perfect, beautifully presented, served hot, and feature seasonal vegetables.
