l'Oree du Bois sur Chateauneuf

We had a lovely stop here for a lunch break. We started with a glass of perfectly chilled Crémant, followed by a deliciously fresh salad with goat cheese and toast with foie gras. The service was extremely kind, the food was excellent, and the wine was superb. Does it get any better than this? 😊

We came here for an ice cream. Really tasty, artisanal ice cream. With all the flavors, you can taste that they are made with real and pure ingredients. The peach was especially delicious.

We've been coming here for at least the past 15 years and the food and the atmoshere (especially when the fire in the open hearth is burning!) remain great and the people who run the place best of all.

We had a warm welcome upon entering. We were seated quickly. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. We had the Florentine crepe and it was the best lunch I’ve had for a while. My kids were well taken care of, with their food coming out quickly. They scarfed down their chocolate and cinnamon sugar crepes. Waitstaff politely offered to speak English after hearing our accented French. The restaurant is in a beautiful old building, the staff are friendly and we’ll definitely be back.

A lovely little restaurant, discreetly tucked away in the typical medieval streets of the charming village of Châteauneuf. The welcome was warm, the service excellent, the interior cool, and the decor clean and stylish. The cuisine was simple, generous, and delicious from appetizer to dessert, all served in a very reasonable timeframe despite the crowd 😊 So yes, L'orée du bois is a lovely restaurant, and it was fantastic to visit it by motorcycle on a beautiful Sunday in April with my CLA 🏍️😍

A very welcoming restaurant with quick service once you've ordered, offering a lovely view and ideal for a stopover or a crêpe. I highly recommend it!

A relaxing atmosphere in this place among the old buildings.

We booked for four couples and our children. We received a warm welcome, and the restaurant had all the necessary equipment for children. The meal, the atmosphere, and the service were perfect; we have absolutely no complaints. We recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the village and looking for a place to stop for lunch.

A very pleasant stop on the way back from winter sports. The village is very charming with panoramic views, lovely little squares, and pretty stone houses. The castle is impressive and very well preserved. The restaurant is in the center of the village, and parking is easy by following the signs. It's possible to eat outside in the sunshine, but the interior dining room has a huge and beautiful fireplace that separates each corner of the restaurant and provides a sense of intimacy. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. The menu had caught my eye from afar, and the dishes lived up to the recommendations: I tried the snail crepe and fell in love with the blackcurrant and morello cherry ice cream crepe. My boys enjoyed the hamburger, and the kebab was generous. The white wine seemed good to us.

Excellent place to eat, food I love, generous portions... I'm a regular at this restaurant, the best in the village in my opinion.
