It might not look like the fanciest Chinese restaurant in Paris, but that shouldn't restrain you from giving it a try. It's really been a while since I last ate something that good! They serve dishes from the Hunan province in China (which is very rare to see in restaurant), and they cook them to perfection. You can typically ask the meal to be less spicy (and it helps if you are sensitive). The prices are in the standard range, while the food in itself is exceptional. And people are not mistaken: the restaurant is often near its capacity; reservations are really useful. (They don't allow reservations after 8:30 PM, but many people still arrive later.)

A truly excellent experience. The food is delicious, and the staff are incredibly kind and welcoming. Everything is there for a wonderful time. Well done!

Truly delicious and craveable authentic Chinese food. Service tends to prioritize the operations of the restaurant as opposed to the needs of the customer at times. (ran out of white rice during our visit) But still, food is outstanding.

The welcome and service were perfect; the spring rolls and beef with onions were delicious. At the next table, where there were young children, the restaurant gave them special chopsticks to help them learn; I thought that was very clever and thoughtful.

L'Orient d'Or is undoubtedly one of the must-try Chinese restaurants in all of Paris. The food is extraordinary, the service is impeccable, and the waiters' recommendations are very helpful. However, it's best to make a reservation.

27/09/2026: After walking all day, I really wanted to eat Chinese food. I searched for a restaurant near the hotel that looked like it was run by Chinese people (and it was). The noodles were quite authentic and had a real Chinese flavor. It's not easy to have a home-cooked meal in France 😂 It was great!

13/07/2026: My favorite restaurant!! The ravioli are simply delicious. They're homemade and prepared right in front of you, which makes all the difference. You can really taste the quality. I highly recommend the grilled beef ravioli!
