A superb atmosphere for any occasion

I celebrated a friend's 30th birthday at this bar yesterday. At the train station, heading back to Rennes, my heart aches thinking about how kind Antoine, the bartender, was. So, a huge shout-out to him for welcoming us like royalty, so friendly, he really knows how to make you feel at ease! Never lose that kindness, Antoine, I hope it was genuine and not just for show, but above all, don't forget about yourself either ;) (I know what it's like to be too kind) 🫰🏻🫰🏻 L.O.V.E

I had a great time at Lou Pascalou in Châtillon. The place has a really nice atmosphere, a bit like a neighborhood bar where you quickly feel at ease. The menu is simple but effective, and what I tried was good. The prices are reasonable for the area, which is a plus. However, I think the service could be a bit more attentive and friendly. Nothing unpleasant, but sometimes you get the impression they're a little overwhelmed or not really available, especially when it's busy. It breaks the flow a bit, even though the place clearly has the potential to be even more welcoming. I also like that they occasionally organize small events or themed evenings: it gives the place character and is a nice change from overly standardized bars. The terrace is pleasant when the weather is nice, even if it fills up quickly. All in all, it's a place I enjoy for a quiet drink or spending time with friends. With slightly more attentive service, it would be truly excellent. For now, it remains a good spot in the neighborhood, hence my 4-star rating.
