Sorry, but the meal was terrible, we were disappointed we stopped at this place. The fish and chips were too greasy, the fries too, and the fish wasn't cooked enough. My daughter had a plate of shrimp that looked like it came from Aldi ☹️ So we didn't order dessert because we were too disappointed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and the food was of good quality. The prices are very reasonable; I highly recommend this establishment.
We ordered two set menus at €19.90 each.
The first course was the whelks: cooked well but poorly cleaned. Full of sand.
Then came the mussels marinière: strong smell. Very acidic.
This is the first time we've been disappointed like this.
For dessert: three choices. We chose the tart. No luck, they were out.
So we opted for scoops of ice cream (nothing special, just the usual) and a chocolate fondant.
The waiter was kind enough to offer me crème anglaise on the side (not homemade, in my opinion).
In conclusion: we won't be going back. What a shame!
We had an aperitivo, sitting there almost by chance, and then stayed a little longer than expected. The service was attentive and discreet.
The location is simply perfect: right on the canal, a place that invites you to slow down and just stand there and observe—as if time had decided to pause with you.
A place that doesn't try to impress, but still manages to make itself remembered.
