Lucien Doriath sur Soultz-Les-Bains

Hello, The welcome by Mr. Doriath is as always quality. The food is excellent but my trio of foie gras arrived very soft on the plate. The waiters didn't tell us about the suggestions...... Between the aperitif and the starter and between the starter and the main course, I found that it was a little long. No appetizers were served with the gourmet menu... The waiter "bartender" was overwhelmed and was stirring more air than work, for example he brought me my Ricard without water??? The young waitress was good. I would definitely come back.

The restaurant is excellent. If you like foie gras, have the pan-fried escalope, a real treat. You also have the shop where you can buy all kinds of foie gras and other homemade products. Recommended 👍🥰👍🥰

Situated along the Alsace wine route, Lucien Doriath is a must see for lovers of artisanal duck and foie gras dishes. The attached restaurant (La Table du Domaine) operates different hours from the shop, and was closing as we arrived (13:30hrs), but the staff were willing to accomodate our party and made us feel at home. Marc and Olivier have assembled an unparalleled gourmet experience, but speciality comes at the expense of breadth. Had we arrived in time to savour the full menu, I fear our mixed party may have struggled to find dishes to suit all, though I did note there were vegetarian and gluten free options. As I said, lovers of duck and foie gras will be in heaven, and if that's you, I can heartily recommend stopping by to sample their delights.

A great discovery, a passionate producer, a very pretty restaurant with open kitchen and an access card for duck and foie gras, all produced by them and fresh products....... Rare these days. Es war ein sehr schöner Abend. Bisher war ich nur Kunde im Laden. Nun endlich fanden wir auf der Rückreise Zeit für das Restaurant. Warmer Empfang und Köstlichkeiten im Teller. Ich werde nie mehr nur Einkaufen.

Wir kommen schon seit einigen Jahren regelmässig zu Lucien Doriath und geniessen seine extrem feine Enten- und Gänseleber bei einem Mittagessen.
