L'Un des Sens sur Colmar

We dined at this wine bar because we were intrigued by the very interesting five-course sharing formula. We can't say we ate badly. The only truly good dish was the zucchini carpaccio with goat cheese (just the right balance of flavors). The other two vegetarian dishes (beetroot and figs, tomatoes and watermelon) were characterless. While the last two (salmon and sliced ​​meat) had a sauce that, rather than enhancing the flavor, actually covered it. The sweetness was average. The wine was very good, nothing to complain about. But, based on the dishes we tasted, I wouldn't go back.

We come from Ghent, which has many similar establishments. The wines were excellent! The portions were perfect, but the dishes could be a bit more adventurous.

The selection of progressive wines is absolutely top-notch – and fairly priced, too. The service was quick, extremely friendly, and very knowledgeable about wine. We received excellent advice. We also found the outdoor area very pleasant. However, what didn't quite convince us was the food. The concept of small dishes that can be shared is good in itself, as it allows you to try many different things. We also appreciated the rather minimalist approach, which avoids unnecessary frills and instead focuses on product quality. Individual dishes, like the cured salmon, were outstanding, but some – for example, the pickled beef – seemed a bit uninspired and lacked care. In conclusion: For us, a wonderful place to enjoy exceptional wines when the food is less important. Addendum: In light of Romain's reaction, I would like to emphasize again that we were not served anything here that gave us any real cause for complaint. I had already tried to present this in a nuanced way. The 3 stars I gave the food overall aren't a bad rating in my opinion. 5 stars mean something like "truly outstanding" to me, 4 stars = very good, 3 stars = still good, but with some limitations. Overall, I would have liked to give the kitchen 3.5 stars – because we did find some of the dishes very good – but that's not possible. I hope my rating is a bit clearer now.

A super cute wine bar. The food was exceptional and the service was also excellent!

Very fun place to eat and enjoy some wine. The restaurant is located in a quiet corner is the city centre. Staff were very friendly and professional and spoke good English too.

The wine and service were excellent, however, I was a little disappointed with the value for money of the food. The picklefleish was a great discovery, but I was let down by the quality of the rest, which was overpriced.

Had an amazing evening at this lovely wine bar, which also does a really nice line of food too - great if you want to avoid the 'black hole' of Schwendi drawing you back in. The place is run by just two people, but no one was kept waiting. The knowledge of wine was amazing, and I opted for the surprise discovery option twice to taste something new to me and to learn about the wine of the area. Perfect place - will be top of our choices of destination when we move here
