I've been meaning to leave a review for quite some time now, given how often I go to this tea room, but I never got around to it. I eat at Madame Bovary fairly regularly when I have friends over or when I'm out for a family meal. I've always had a wonderful time there: the atmosphere is calm and welcoming. The owners are lovely, and to illustrate my point, I'll give you an example that particularly touched me. I always come with my service dog, which makes me a very easy customer to identify when I make a reservation by phone. It's also worth noting that I always order the same dessert, the chocolate-banana crumble, because I find it absolutely delicious. One day, I called to make a reservation, and we went with my family. When it came time to choose our dessert, one of the owners said, "When I recognized you on the phone, I quickly prepared two small crumbles because we didn't have any on the menu today." This thoughtful gesture really touched me.

I went there one Sunday afternoon for tea with a friend. I ordered a rich hot chocolate and the banana-chocolate crumble, which was on the menu that day. Everything was exquisite. I'm finally drinking a truly rich and decadent hot chocolate—the kind they make and absolutely delicious! It was like a trip down memory lane! The crumble was delicious, with a lovely texture and just the right amount of sweetness. It's everything you could want from a tea room: a cozy and relaxing moment enjoying good food in a warm and inviting space. Thank you to the owners, who are absolutely wonderful! 🫶🏽✨

In a cozy, traditional English setting, you can enjoy delicious and generous pastries with a cup of tea or hot chocolate. The welcome is also warm and friendly.
