End of the meal (light beforehand...), 2 Basque cakes for 6 people, one with cream and one with cherry. Exceptional quality. However, the cherry one is far too sweet (okay for preservation, but the taste of the black cherry, already not particularly vibrant, is completely lost in the sugar...). The vanilla cream one is divine (although overall still too sweet ;-). The taste and texture of the pastry are sublime in both. Worth it!

Historic 1660 Basque pastry shop! Their Gâteau Basque is absolutely wonderful, both cherry and walnut fillings are amazing. Also try their original Basque macarons. Nice elegant packaging, perfect for souvenirs. Friendly service, a must‑visit for dessert lovers.

Pastry shop two minutes from the beach and right in the center of Biarritz. We tried the macarons and the Basque cake and they were delicious; you could tell they were freshly made.
