Passing through Val d'Isère to climb the Col de l'Iseran by bike, bakery break to recharge the batteries. Friendly welcome, portion of flan and very good coffee. Terrace service. Double espresso and nice slice of homemade flan (very good), €7. It's honest, I recommend.

Que ce soit juste pour acheter un pain, une pâtisserie, ou manger sur place côté snacking, c'est pour ma part un passage obligé lors de tout séjour à Val d'Isère. Pour une fois que l'on peut déguster une pâtisserie d'un des meilleurs ouvriers de France, autant en profiter. Mention spéciale pour leur tarte à la myrtille... Le personnel est accueillant, de bon conseil. J'y reviendrai avec plaisir. (un seul bémol, les toilettes au sous-sol demandent un sérieux rafraichissement...)

I have known the Chevallot bakery for 28 years and I was disappointed this year. The pastries were smaller, less choice. Damage. As for the price, it has increased.

23/04/2024: Good for the atmosphere, it’s simply DJ and Barbie show madness! For the meal, the taste and color are always questionable! We tested Sébastien Vauxion’s strawberry menu of the moment. Personally I'm not a big fan of strawberry or sweet and salty combinations but everything was very balanced and surprising. This changes standards and takes us further in the search for taste. Thank you for this experience, only the dessert is the shadow on this discovery table! Far too far from natural research, too chemical a taste given by the candy side! Thanks for the experience!
