Excellent meal, we were completely full at the end! The children enjoyed it too; the riverside terrace near the articulated bridge and the lock was very pleasant with the shade of a large tree.

We were warmly welcomed by a young man at this beautiful, listed establishment. The service was provided by two very helpful ladies, and we enjoyed a very good meal with very generous portions. Everything was perfect.

Excellent experience at Maison des Tanneurs - Gerwerstub. Eating in a building from 1572 in the heart of Petite France is something unique. The atmosphere is authentic Alsatian, with wood paneling and a view of the canals. We tried the famous Choucroute (sauerkraut) and it was delicious and in a very filling portion. The staff was very kind and the list of local wines (Riesling, Pinot Noir) was excellent. A historical spot that should not be missed if you are in Strasbourg.

13/05/2026: As part of a multi-day trip from Strasbourg to Paris, dinner was organized here for our tour group. We had all-you-can-eat tarte flambée, a glass of wine, and still water. The service seemed adequate due to a shortage of staff. Nevertheless, we had a pleasant evening, and the tarte flambée was well-received and delicious.
29/03/2026: Historical neighborhood restaurant back from the days where the "Rotonde" was not a tram stop but a freight train interchange (late 1800s). Dinnertime is very quiet, as the place is mostly busy at lunchtime, so for us ideal after a tiring day where you want to eat out but you do not want to be in a loud, noisy place. Portions are rather generous, worth the price. Our server, Achour, was very friendly. See you soon!
