Maison Lameloise sur Chagny

Superb experience. However, I was a little disappointed by a few bites that lacked real flavor; and I was puzzled by the additional plates served alongside the main course, meant to offer further variations, but which, in my opinion, didn't add much, except to create unnecessary distractions. On the other hand, the service was excellent. Overall, the experience was still very good: we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Maison Lameloise was a simply extraordinary experience from start to finish. Every dish was a marvel, meticulously crafted and surprising with its elegance, balance, and flavor. From the first bite to the last, everything was impeccable, with truly exceptional quality. The service was perfect: attentive, professional, and always discreet, making the entire meal even more enjoyable. Even the wine we chose was exceptional, pairing beautifully with the dishes and enhancing every flavor. A truly exquisite, refined, and unforgettable experience, starting with the mousse bouche, each one better than the last. One dish I was thrilled with was the shrimp, which we added to the chef's menu. I was also delighted with the lagostine. The fish with asparagus was excellent and cooked to perfection, and it continued like this until the last dish. For me, it was an exceptional experience.

First off, I took one star off for the food and another for the wine list. After some not very memorable amuse bouche (the foie gras lollipop was salty), we were served langoustines deep fried with puffed rice -- Maybe because this is France, but coming from Asia, this reminded me more of a mid-range, mall seafood restaurant rather than high end French. A dollop of caviar never elevates the experience. And it was all down hill from this. The John Dory, scallops, and lamb were ordinary. The wine list? I visit Burgundy once a year and, until this year, always stay a night at Bernard Loiseau. What a mistake choosing Lameloise this year. The wine prices were fairly expensive and older vintages were limited. I didn't travel all the way to Changny to pay Paris or New York wine prices. The reason for eating at Michelin restaurants in Burgundy is for accessibility to some of the best wines in the world. Rooms are fairly basic for the price as well. Next year, I'll go back to my routine with Bernard Loiseau.

Exceptional lunch at Lameloise. Perfection in both service and cuisine. 3 stars totally deserved. Remarkable flavors, a must! Bravo to the whole team!

We discovered this restaurant; the service was excellent, and the appetizers and desserts were perfect, but the main courses were too complicated. There's no parking available.

We had an amazing lunch experience here, food was so very good, and service was exceptional. We were served by the 4 lovely gentlemen, they were superb, professional and friendly, and made the whole experience truly great and world class. Thank you for making our day, we really appreciate it.
