Maison Monarque sur Chartres

We had a very good meal, the setting is nice, the food is good. We took the local menu which has very good value for money. The servers were all very friendly, a warm welcome and really pleasant service. The only downside is not linked to the restaurant or the team but to a family with a young child next to us who threw his toys, screamed and even threw bread on the table opposite where he There was a family there (also with their young child but very very quiet) I know that this comment will attract some wrath but too bad, respect for others is important, children if we can't manage them we don't take them to the restaurant.

A very good time spent in this establishment, the staff is pleasant and available, the cuisine is tasty. To do and to redo.

We came to Chartres for my son's wedding. Discovery of this very modern and cozy bistro facing Chartres Cathedral. Warm welcome, excellent food and discussion with the table neighbors. To test if you come, we will come back

Very good evening in a very nice setting right next to the cathedral. The meal was perfect (especially the famous mayo eggs) and we received great advice from Marion (restaurant sommelier) in terms of wine choice. Address to discover or return without moderation. French haute cuisine at a very reasonable price. The meal was excellent! The service and the atmosphere too. We will return again!

Great restaurant! Too bad we can't give 10⭐️⭐️

Chose this restaurant based on reading reviews, not knowing the area at all. We were not disappointed. 2 x adults and 2 x children ate an absolutely delicious meal including homemade garlic bread, snails, croque monsieur and rabbit. The pommes noisettes were one of the most delicious things we have EVER eaten; just like eating clouds! And the île flottant were incredible and served in a most unique way. Our only complaint was that we were early as it was so cold outside and we chose to go in at 6:30pm for a 7pm reservation but, as service wasn't until 7pm, we were virtually ignored until then and had to ask for menus. AND, annoyingly, other tables who had arrived after us (and didn't have children with them) were served before us. Nevertheless, the food made up for this and we are happy to recommend this place to others.

For our family lunch in Chartres, we trusted Google reviews and we did well. Cozy restaurant with a magical panorama of the cathedral, dynamic service, refined and very tasty cuisine....flawless for us! The little extra: our young people loved the background music, sufficiently measured in volume so as not to disturb our less young ones😀
