Maison Papillon sur Lille

We ordered 2 croissants, 1 cappuccino and 1 hot chocolate here. It was in fact their croissants were the first croissants we ever had in France. We were not disappointed, it was so soft, crunchy and elastic. We were joking about how we have been eating the "fake" croissants back at home the whole time because this tasted so much better. The staffs were very friendly and speak English. I am so thankful for this because I do not think they could understand our broken French otherwise. We would definitely come back if we have chance visit Lille again.

Delicious pastries and tartlets but I saw a lot of flies in the pastries.

Nice ambience, interesting coffees and good pastries

I ask for a decaf. I am asked to pay €2.20 even though the slate costs €1.80. I'm told it's normal. ...Yeah I was with two other people who can attest... Too bad I was very delighted with Papillon until then I would like to modify my opinion following your response. So it's up to you to decide what I want. I asked for decaf. And not a long decaf. So tomorrow, you go to the supermarket, they add unwanted items. He asks you to pay and you think that's normal?

Very welcoming and friendly staff. Correct quality/price ratio. Be careful not to cook enough croissants this June 10. They were more soft than flaky/crispy and “yellow”. Pleasant taste nonetheless.

Delicious bread (Fougasse with cheese and ham) and pastry! 🥖🍞 Sadly the Croque was sold out when we visited.

I can only recommend the boulangerie to everyone. The service was a bit impatient at the beginning but that was okay. Otherwise, they fulfilled our every special wish with a smile :) Coffee, smoothie or éclair were magnifique :)))) Many thanks to the team.

Very beautiful and elegant place, a very wide choice for breakfast, lunch and snacks! Tip for waiters: you should serve the coffee last when ordering so that it doesn’t get too cold :) Very good address, I recommend and I will come back!

Friendly patient staff (despite my atrocious attempt of ordering in French). The bread and cakes are fantastic too, would go back and have a coffee next time just had take out, cool decorating inside too.

We arrived in Lille for a few days and lived in a nearby hotel. We bought fresh bread and a few other things at the boulangerie several times. The bread was fresh and excellent, the service was provided with a smile, and the hours were convenient. The store also has the option of buying lasagna and heating it yourself. magnificent!
