Matsuyama sur Boulogne-Sur-Mer

The food is very good, everything is fresh and well-presented, but the tables in the restaurant are all very close together, offering no privacy for conversation. One waitress was unpleasant, unlike her colleague who was much nicer! There was also quite a wait before I could order again. A shame.

The food is very good. The sushi is fresh and very generous. Negative point: tables too close together, sometimes a long wait, the waitress wasn't very friendly or smiling… what a shame 🙃 Working in retail, this is very important to encourage customers to return. The charge for uneaten sushi should be based on a minimum order quantity.

UPDATE 2026: I've been going to this restaurant for about 15 years. The first few years were great, but the more time passes and the more the owners change, the worse it gets. I still go there, but I'm disappointed every time! Lately, they keep forgetting orders (supposedly all-you-can-eat, but you're limited to three orders), so I'm often put on the second order. I understand times are tough for everyone, but I find it dishonest! It seems like they're trying to squeeze money out of everything. The small plates have disappeared, and they're just grabbing sushi from the communal platter (saving on dishes?!) Then there's the cleanliness of the restrooms and surrounding areas: faucets full of limescale, pipes full of dust, a cracked or damaged mirror. Little things that make it look unclean and, for me, make me question the restaurant's cleanliness! It's a shame because the sushi is very good, and the staff is pleasant and friendly! ---------- Still as good as ever! Happy about the reopening, nothing has changed...maybe the owners?!

Overall, a good restaurant, no complaints except that the server could be a bit more friendly and welcoming. But if you want to eat good sushi, don't hesitate.
