I very rarely eat at fast-food restaurants, as I find the value for money has declined considerably in recent years. But today (and this is ironic for me, having just come back from a restaurant audit), having no other option than a quick meal, I stopped at the McDonald's in Loriol-sur-Drôme. And frankly: a pleasant surprise. I'm used to finding McDonald's (and Burger King) quite dirty, even at off-peak hours, with employees milling about. This time, I arrived right in the middle of the rush, and I immediately noticed an active, professional, and organized team. The manager (a certain Babette, if I saw correctly) had her sleeves rolled up to help her team: she was serving, taking orders, going from the dining area to the drive-thru, going outside to deliver orders to cars… all while managing her team effectively. The employees knew exactly what to do. In the kitchen, HACCP hygiene standards seemed to be followed: hairnets, beard covers, clean gestures, and a structured workstation. Only one employee wasn't wearing a hairnet, but everything else was very well organized. And above all: the kitchen was clean and organized, with everyone focused on their tasks—which is far from standard practice in this type of establishment. Another positive point: I was served in less than 10 minutes, which has become extremely rare, especially during peak hours. And my wrap was hot—which is even better! It was only on my way out that I took the time to observe the dining area: clean, especially for 12:45 pm. Congratulations to this team, which clearly makes a difference compared to other McDonald's or Burger King restaurants I've encountered. My only complaint: I can't give it 5 stars because I thought the Goat Cheese Wrap was still available. I tried the Veggie Wrap, which was okay, but I found it less good than the Goat Cheese Wrap. This small point prevents me from giving it a perfect score. But otherwise: well done, keep it up!
