I came in around 12:30 on December 5th and was pleasantly surprised. My order was complete, the fries were hot, the manager and her team were very welcoming, not to mention the speed of service, which is surprising at this time of day.

Honestly, it's getting worse and worse with all their extra charges… With the kids' menu, if you order potatoes, you have to pay extra for apple or orange juice… And dessert is an extra charge, it's a joke! Not to mention the sauces; you have to ask for one at the register, and it costs extra! But that's not all. I ordered an iced tea with my meal! They only offer unsweetened, so what? Then the guy comes over and says they're out of iced tea, and you can have another unsweetened drink. I say no, I want a regular Coke, but no, it'll cost me an extra 20 cents! The problem is on your end, and you dare to charge 20 cents? I used to come here regularly, but for the past few months the service has been truly pathetic… When you place a €50 order, seriously, you can't add a single sauce without charging 20 cents?! Numbers, numbers, numbers! And the reason I'm writing this complaint is because the staff really treats us like dirt! Last week I came (I come every Wednesday after my son's football practice, which finishes at 12:30). I had ordered takeout that day… I got in my car, opened the children's menus, etc., and of course, the books were missing, which I had to pay extra for (it was Asterix, I think). So I got out to complain. There were a lot of people, so I waited my turn. I complained, and the woman told me, "No, you didn't get a book." I insisted, saying, "Listen, madam, I know I got it because I was surprised to see there was an extra charge… It's simple, tell me, how much is the menu if I don't get the book?" Well, it depends on what you get (before, the menu was 4 euros no matter what you got, darn it!). I said, "Okay, let's do the calculation together…" And then she said, "Wait, I'll print it out," and as if by magic, "Oh yes, indeed, there is a book as an extra charge!" It's unbelievable. Before, if someone forgot a game, we'd go and ask, and they'd give it to us right away without any problem… I spent almost 10 minutes waiting to get the problem resolved. I got back in my car, of course, with fries and a hamburger, and I went home to complain, and then this woman had the nerve to answer me. "Yes, but when we gave it to you, it was hot." Seriously, are you kidding me? And if you had done your job properly and I hadn't asked for my book, I could have eaten at the same time as my children, because while I was sorting out my problem, my children were eating alone in the car. So she only changed my fries and refused to change my hamburger… And of course, I had to deal with the same person again today, and judging by her look, I think she recognized me, but all this to say that I find it pathetic. 👎

LUCAS, EMPLOYEE OF THE MONTH (AND HERO OF THE NIGHT!) Last night, between 12:30 and 1:00 AM, we stopped at the McDonald's Drive-Thru, starving… and not exactly prepared for the wait ahead. The line was long, the cars were crawling along, in short: the typical late-night atmosphere where everyone had the same idea. And then Lucas appeared. We don't know how he does it, but he managed to transform this endless wait into a truly cheerful moment. A few jokes, a genuine smile, a way of speaking that puts everyone at ease… We started laughing at the Drive-Thru, which is already a miracle at that hour! But the best was yet to come. We were faced with a frankly unpleasant situation with four young people whose behavior was really annoying. The kind of moment where you think: “Give me your Snapchat?” And then Lucas, like a superhero in a McDonald's polo shirt, stepped in. Calm, professional, and incredibly responsive, he defused the situation in two minutes, and most importantly, he got us out of a situation that could have turned really awkward. In short: Lucas isn't just employee of the month, he's clearly our hero of the night. An exceptional employee—funny, kind, and incredibly efficient. McDonald's: hold on to him!
