We stopped at this McDonald's while passing through Beaune. Quick service, friendly staff. Nice decor and very clean.

I rarely go to McDonald's, a little guilty pleasure I allow myself once or twice a year. What a wonderful surprise to discover the world's temple of healthy eating and the Mediterranean diet. I particularly appreciated the financial transparency. Here, sugar isn't just a molecule: it's a line item on the bill. Order a classic Coke? A small "sugar drink tax" appears conscientiously on the bill. The pleasure is sweet, the price is steep—but only to comply with tax regulations. I also loved the "Water by McDonald's" concept: water = same price as soda; water + sugar-free syrup = same price as water; water + sweetened syrup = same price as water… plus the bonus sugar tax. Always the same machine, always the same tap water, simply filtered through a system worthy of a luxury spa. Three levels of commercial magic, one fleet. Ultimately, even water has its own business model. Everything is designed with Swiss watchmaking precision. Sauce with the fries? Included. Want a second? Plus. Every drop of sauce and every gram of sugar finds its place in the grand Excel spreadsheet of profitability. The decor is lovely: minimalist, clean, and spotless. It's immaculate; you could almost eat off the floor. At least you're clearly not skimping on cleaning products. Thank goodness French tax authorities haven't invented an additional hygiene tax yet. Since I'm also concerned about the profitability of your dear shareholders, a quick observation: the table service leaves me perplexed. Some customers sit at tables without food while others remain standing, looking for a seat. The result: tables occupied by people who haven't yet eaten, and customers playing musical chairs. The table turnover isn't exactly worthy of a Formula 1 Grand Prix. All this requires additional staff to carry the trays, while the customers then have to clear them and sort their own waste. Let's take this concept to its logical conclusion: a queue at the counter, each person picks up their tray and finds a seat. You save on staff and the tables turn over faster. The same logic applies to the indoor play area: convenient, certainly, but the noise level can transform the cozy atmosphere into a departure lounge on a day of strikes at Roissy Airport. With a parking lot this size, why not move it outside and let the children play among the cars? You would then free up the indoor space for a few more tables. Okay, it would require some bollards, but every optimization has its details. Ultimately, McDonald's transforms a burger and fries meal into a masterclass in applied capitalism. Everything is measured, optimized, priced: the gram, the cent, the sauce, the sugar… until a few extra percentage points can flow back to the shareholders. Thank you, McDonald's, for this magnificent experience. **Three stars.** I would have gladly given it five, but I suppose the two missing stars are due to a specific tax that will be added in the next price update. With that, back to my mountain, where cheese and cured meats aren't actually that overpriced for perfectly healthy products, even if they sometimes cost a fortune. And if I fancy a truly diet-friendly drink, I'll take my little sugar syrup and mix it right at the river's source. Up there, the water will be free, and I can apply the sugar tax myself. **PS:** I do acknowledge the improvements since my last visit: the restaurant is clean, the packaging has been updated, and my sandwich was much better presented today. So, not everything is bad, and that's rare enough in a three-star review to be worth mentioning.

I know that McDonald's is also for children, but I came today and during my stop there was a very noisy group of children and no sign of the parents.

This restaurant offers fairly quick service, which is very convenient when you're in a hurry. However, I noticed that the cleanliness could be improved for a more pleasant experience. The food itself is what you'd expect from this chain. Despite the lack of cleanliness, the staff seemed efficient and courteous. Overall, it's a decent option for a quick bite.

Thanks to Mohamed for giving us a fantastic welcome. A pleasant, smiling, helpful, and serious young man, but with a touch of humor! That's exactly what you want when you come to a drive-thru! It's worth noting that he was working alone, managing both the orders and the service! Well done to him!

Honestly, he's a lovely person—smiling, welcoming, and truly professional. It's a pleasure to be served with such kindness, especially at such a late hour. Mohamed went above and beyond, with a wonderful welcome and a really positive attitude. Well done to him; he definitely deserves 5 stars! I had a problem paying by card; when I ordered at my table, I had to order at the kiosk. For once, the fries and sandwiches were hot. It was 2:30 PM. The restaurant was relatively clean.
