McDonald's, France sur Saint-Jean-De-Luz

We came as a group of three on Sunday, August 23rd, around 7:30 PM. My sister ordered a "small sundae with caramel sauce," and when we collected our desserts (which were served later), we saw that it had been put in a small McCafé cup—the smallest size, really. I went to the counter and showed them the receipt, and the staff told me they supposedly didn't have the small sundae cups anymore. I understand, but we paid the same price as everyone else, so shouldn't we get the same portion? I took a picture of the "small sundae" from the internet; it was labeled as such. The staff told me that what I was showing them was a sundae. I explained that every small sundae we've had at different McDonald's restaurants has never been served in that small cup. They finally remade it for me, but the cup was only half full. I think they were just trying to get me to leave. I don't understand, I show a photo with "small sundae" written underneath, and they say I'm showing a normal-sized sundae?? We pay €2.80 to get the usual quantity, not less because they're out of tubs.

Fast service despite the crowds

The service was quite fast and thorough, with no errors. The parking lot was a bit small.

Sunday, August 2, 2026, 8:00 PM. It's very busy, the wait at the drive-thru is long, but whatever, I have time, I'm on vacation. What bothers me is how the sandwiches are crammed into the bag! My order includes two Happy Meals. One is in its box, the other is piled up with the other sandwiches in the order. When I point this out at the counter, I'm told it's busy. Okay, it's busy, but that doesn't justify the products being presented like that. I would have preferred to wait a few more minutes and have an order that meets the brand's standards.

Excellent! The meal was served piping hot and the drinks were very cold. I highly recommend it.

I ordered a McDeal with a French fry sauce that never arrived, which was very inconvenient as I had to get up and go get it. I do not recommend this restaurant as the service is extremely disappointing. I should also mention that two extra ice creams were left unordered, and we had to get up several times to ask for what we had ordered and paid for.

It's still McDonald's, but the staff were pleasant, and it was quick and everything was perfect, which was nice!
