Méert Tradition, France sur Lille

I'm Japanese. I came to eat gaufres. The shop has lots of sweets like chocolate and caramel. I bought several boxes of caramel as souvenirs. There was a Korean staff member who could speak a little Japanese, which was reassuring. The gaufres had a flavor I'd never tasted before, but they were so light that they disappeared in no time. They're not heavy, so you can eat them while walking. You can buy them one at a time. Please enjoy them!

While strolling through town, I was drawn in by the charming exterior and the smiling face of the staff selling gelato in front of the shop, so I stopped by for a break. I enjoyed delicious gelato in the classic and lovely interior, and it really revitalized me 🌈 The staff inside were friendly and kind, and when I mentioned I was from Japan, they chatted with me a lot. They were also very helpful in taking my order. I bought a raspberry waffle and enjoyed it with my family back in Japan. The packaging is cute, and the cream inside is incredibly delicious with a rich buttery flavor! It was my first time trying a soft type of waffle, and it was addictively delicious; somehow, it felt very French. I can see why it's a popular shop. I highly recommend you stop by.

I came last Sunday to finally try the famous waffles. The saleswoman was really great! She knows the place very well and gave me good advice. I recommend the pecan waffle :)

A lovely old-fashioned shop... a great selection of teas... and their famous waffles... I recommend the pistachio and sour cherry one...

Brought a bunch of Meert sweets back to Tokyo and everything was amazing, especially the waffle sandwiches that Napoleon himself used to enjoy! Loved learning about the history of this shop. Staff was very kind and helpful. Will definitely return on my next visit to Paris!

It’s definitely my type of place — refined yet warm, and beautifully designed in every detail. I learned that the original shop is in Lille, which makes this Paris location feel even more special, like a little extension of a historic brand. Meert is well known for its waffles, so I tried both the pistachio and vanilla flavors. Both were delicious, but the pistachio was my personal favorite — rich, nutty, and perfectly balanced without being too sweet. The chocolates were also excellent, with a high-quality taste that feels very authentic and carefully made. Another highlight is the packaging — the boxes and tins are absolutely beautiful and make you want to buy more just for the presentation. Everything feels thoughtful and luxurious. Overall, it’s a lovely place to visit if you appreciate good sweets, beautiful interiors, and a touch of classic French elegance. I would definitely come back again.

Lovely shop with great products. A must to try their stuffed thin waffles ! Great service with a smile, jokes and overall kindness. Definitely worth a trip!
