Mercure Tours Sud sur Joue-Les-Tours

Currently staying here for a week, I was surprised by several aspects that deviate from the usual quality of Mercure hotels. Here: => No electricity in the toilets (not a big deal in itself, and the reception staff handled the situation very professionally and kindly); => In the bathroom, no small kits like cotton swabs/cotton balls/nail files; => In the rooms, no bedside tables, but instead stools, which are quite nice, by the way; => The air conditioning doesn't seem very effective (but I didn't have a thermometer to check); => Lastly, to nitpick, the toiletries provided are: hand soap and a shower gel that also acts as shampoo. I personally find this last point a little unpleasant; I would have preferred two separate products. Oh well, tomorrow I'll do some sightseeing to explore the nearby shops and pick up what I need ;) Besides that: Parking is free. The check-in process was excellent, and there's always someone available. The hotel restaurant menu is quite varied and reasonably priced. The location is perfect for visiting the Loire Valley castles.

Very professional welcome, very clean hotel, generous and high-quality breakfast. A nice bonus: the swimming pool and relaxation area. The meal at the restaurant was excellent.

Impeccable welcome. Spacious and spotless room. A complete breakfast with something for everyone. The spa area was very pleasant, the only slight drawback being the cold pool.

Our favorite stopover, with a really cool pool and always such a lovely, warm welcome. A nice bonus the second time around, on our way back from Paris, our room smelled divine. The housekeeper is amazing. We were almost walking back with the dog, thinking, "Oh no, this is going to ruin everything!" 🤣

The hotel was very quiet, and we were also able to enjoy the pool. I wouldn't hesitate to come back. A very peaceful hotel. Thank you!

A big thank you to Kevin for his warm welcome and good humor, which made our evening at the restaurant even more enjoyable. We had a wonderful time.

Excellent breakfast buffet with an emphasis on local and fresh products, despite the wide variety offered. A plus was the small eco-friendly touches (glass water bottles, choice of towel washing, and the attractive staircase). However, a minor drawback was the very high temperature in the hotel and rooms, even with the room thermostat turned off. The spa is pleasant (sauna, jacuzzi, hammam, swimming pool), but the decor could be updated to create a more relaxing and inviting atmosphere (lighting, decor, music, etc.). The staff is very friendly and attentive to guests' needs. The proximity to the lake behind the hotel is fantastic!
