A truly beautiful spot with a magnificent view of the Aubrac plateau. The welcome was very much in keeping with the restaurant's reputation. As for the meal, it was a real treat, a feast for both the eyes and the stomach. The service was excellent, provided by the waiters.

Maison Bras offers a truly exceptional dining experience. On Fridays and weekends, reservations are essential, though we managed to book via stopping by for same-night. They invite guests to arrive 45 minutes early for aperitifs — a wonderful way to start the experience. The views are stunning, and the aperitif menu is creative and delightful.
I recommend choosing à la carte rather than the set menu, as the latter is quite expensive and very generous. The garden salad is a must-try, as well as the lamb or beef dishes. It’s also worth mentioning the local trout — fresh and perfectly prepared. A remarkable combination of setting, flavors, and attention to detail.

An outdated establishment, frozen in a bygone era. The cuisine, although technically mastered, lacks depth and audacity. Overall, the experience no longer truly justifies the aura and two stars it still receives. One senses the breath of a restaurant at the end of its reign, where emotion has given way to routine.

A two-night stay to enjoy this beautiful region.
The restaurant lives up to its excellent reputation.
A rare occurrence for a restaurant of this quality: the proportions are very generous!
The dining room service is what one would expect: attentive, friendly, without being obsequious. Bravo!
Two drawbacks:
1. As is too often the case in "Instagram" or "TikTok" hotels, the desire for beauty trumps practicality (not enough space for luggage, bathrooms not completely separated from the room). Perhaps one day hoteliers will explain to architects that the important thing is the guest experience, not the room photo.
Two people to handle luggage is not ideal in this type of establishment.
