Michi sur Paris

I went to this restaurant twice. The first time was for lunch in November 2025, and I really enjoyed it. Generally speaking, the fish is good and fresh, and the sushi is of good quality. Many Japanese people frequent this restaurant, which I imagine speaks to the chef's expertise. I was more ambivalent about my second visit, an evening in August 2026, when I wanted to introduce my partner to the restaurant. We waited about 40 minutes after ordering. Unfortunately, the set menu portions were ridiculously small and devoured in 5 minutes. At €40 per menu, we were disappointed and ate again when we got home. So I'm not surprised that other reviews mention it.

Very cool, lovely staff, and reasonable prices. Be aware that there isn't much space, but the sushi is so good that you'd be wise to book in advance.

I highly recommend it! Excellent sushi with high-quality fish. An authentic experience. I ate at the counter facing the kitchen, but there's also a dining area in the basement. I recommend booking in advance as the restaurant is a bit small.

The selection of nigiri is truly excellent, featuring top-quality fish that are rarely seen in France. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly, and the service is fast, with a real sushi chef at the helm. In that respect, it's perfect and exactly what you expect from authentic Japanese sushi. However, the prices are generally far too high. Ordering à la carte is simply overpriced if you want premium nigiri to try something other than the classic tuna/salmon. Unfortunately, even the lunchtime set menu, which is much more affordable, still offers fairly standard nigiri and is twice as expensive as what you'd find elsewhere.

The sashimi was very good and fresh, but the portions were small for a price that's higher than other sushi restaurants. I don't usually eat much, but after my meal, I was still hungry.

Clearly authentic sushi with unbeatable value for money in Paris (even after eating at Takara, Foujita, You, and Zen). The rice is perfectly vinegared, and the slice of fish on the sushi is generous.

The Parisian Japanese restaurant that most certainly comes close to a truly authentic sushi experience in Japan! From the moment I walked in, the energy and authentic atmosphere immediately transported me back to my memories of Japan—it's captivating. As for the dishes and flavors, they're also the closest thing to authentic Japanese cuisine. The fish is exquisite, fresh, and expertly prepared. It was a real pleasure to discover this place, which remains relatively discreet on the famous Rue Sainte-Anne. Reservations are recommended to secure a table at the counter, but there's also seating in the well-appointed basement. The only major downside that's holding me back from giving it a good rating is the price, which is still quite high... And for someone like me who eats generous portions, it means I'll be hungry again a few hours later, especially if I've done sports, a walk, or gone shopping afterward 😂 A kiss to our friend Baptiste who stopped by 😉

Yeah. It was good, but the portions are ridiculously small for the price. The basement is like a damp cellar. Honestly, there are better places in the neighborhood.

The food are really fresh, and you can sit at the bar to watch chefs cutting fish. Unfortunately, the upstairs area was fully occupied when we got there, leaving us no choice but the downstairs section with an average environment.
