Michi sur Paris

We ordered two set menus, each with two onigiri and two miso soups. It was absolutely delicious. I think we'll go back as soon as we can. Thank you to the whole team.

Michi is a fairly authentic Japanese restaurant, with a very small but really cool space. The server and the chef are very welcoming and genuinely nice, although I found the service a little slow. When it comes to the food, I still think it’s slightly expensive for the portions. The rice is well prepared in terms of texture and temperature, but I found it way too bland and almost not seasoned with vinegar at all. They also served a small soba at the beginning, which was a nice touch. The fish is fresh, but unfortunately, this time I found the salmon, which is usually my favorite thing there, to be really lacking in flavor. I went for lunch, so I had the €26.50 lunch menu, which came with 12 pieces of sushi and a soup. Overall, it’s a decent place, but personally, I found it quite basic and nothing special, especially for the price.

The restaurant is a bit run-down and not particularly pleasant. The ground floor could use a facelift; otherwise, it's just a basement dining area. As for the food, the value for money isn't great. The price difference doesn't reflect the difference in taste compared to a good neighborhood Japanese restaurant. It only gets interesting when you order the otoro (spicy fried rice) or the scallops, which are absolutely excellent, but the price increases significantly.

The fish is really good quality, but 1) the place desperately needs a facelift, 2) the prices are very high, and 3) the chef isn't meticulous about hygiene: he tasted one of his ingredients with his hand, then continued preparing it; then he blew his nose and only rinsed his hands (without soap) before getting back to cooking. This isn't acceptable in 2026, especially when the kitchen is open… what a shame.

Unbeatable value for money at lunchtime!

A huge disappointment! The service was impeccable. The staff were incredibly kind. However, the portion sizes were completely inadequate! Especially for the price. €32 for a chirashi half-filled with rice or 12 tiny sashimi. That's unacceptable. What a shame.

Very cool, lovely staff, and reasonable prices. Be aware that there isn't much space, but the sushi is so good that you'd be wise to book in advance.

I went to this restaurant twice. The first time was for lunch in November 2025, and I really enjoyed it. Generally speaking, the fish is good and fresh, and the sushi is of good quality. Many Japanese people frequent this restaurant, which I imagine speaks to the chef's expertise. I was more ambivalent about my second visit, an evening in August 2026, when I wanted to introduce my partner to the restaurant. We waited about 40 minutes after ordering. Unfortunately, the set menu portions were ridiculously small and devoured in 5 minutes. At €40 per menu, we were disappointed and ate again when we got home. So I'm not surprised that other reviews mention it.

I highly recommend it! Excellent sushi with high-quality fish. An authentic experience. I ate at the counter facing the kitchen, but there's also a dining area in the basement. I recommend booking in advance as the restaurant is a bit small.

The selection of nigiri is truly excellent, featuring top-quality fish that are rarely seen in France. The waiters and waitresses are very friendly, and the service is fast, with a real sushi chef at the helm. In that respect, it's perfect and exactly what you expect from authentic Japanese sushi. However, the prices are generally far too high. Ordering à la carte is simply overpriced if you want premium nigiri to try something other than the classic tuna/salmon. Unfortunately, even the lunchtime set menu, which is much more affordable, still offers fairly standard nigiri and is twice as expensive as what you'd find elsewhere.
