Ce restaurant mérite d'être connu, pour son authenticité. Cela m'a rappelé les repas de famille avec mes grands parents, c'était génial. La cuisine est traditionnelle, copieuse et très bien préparée. Attention restaurant seulement ouvert les Week ends. Bien gardée dans son cadre, la salle est restée à l'ancienne, ce qui change vraiment des salles impersonnelles des nouveaux restaurants. Allez y et vous vous ferez votre avis personnel.

22/08/2024: Today, I went to the hostel with my parents. It was a birthday present for my mother. Very welcoming staff, top cuisine 👍👍👍. I even asked to recook the duck breast and no problem. We ate very well, it was plentiful. We took the menu for 32 euros, the quantity and the cuisine justify it 👌👌
20/08/2024: Great ! After a walk around the St Genest Malifaux dam, a meal at the Auberge du Grand Bois. Quality/Price: 👍👍

20/08/2024: We had a great time. The welcome is friendly. The cuisine is excellent and the warm setting. You can go there, you will not be disappointed.
20/08/2024: Superb place, overlooking the dam. The room is warm and the service efficient, even a little too efficient. There were around twenty of us and we had pre-ordered our menus. People who had not taken the formula with aperitif and glass of wine were not offered an aperitif. The starters arrived almost at the same time as the few aperitifs. Impossible to know which wine was served with the formulas. The dish was OK but the fish was way overcooked and the fries were very greasy. The desserts were very good. Our table was cleared before everyone had gotten up to leave. Yes, the restaurant closes at 3:30 p.m. and the hours are strict. A multitude of little things to improve in the mutual interest of customers and young owners which could make this place a place worthy of its setting.
