This restaurant is an absolute gem and easily the best meal we had during our time in Paris. From the moment we walked in, we could tell this was something special. The owner works tirelessly to make sure every detail is perfect, from warmly sharing the daily menu, to making sure bread and water were always replenished, to bussing every table himself with a genuine smile. His wife, the head chef, created some of the most extraordinary dishes we have ever tasted, each one prepared with obvious care and passion. What made the evening truly unforgettable was how personal it felt. We genuinely felt like part of their family. Even though we speak English and only a little French, they made it effortless to connect, and the conversation was as delightful as the food. They clearly love getting to know their guests, and that joy is contagious. As for another review mentioning them talking about a patron, we were not present for that, but based on our experience, it is easy to imagine they were simply excited to hear and share a guest’s story. The berry dessert was unforgettable — so good that we have actually discussed returning to Paris just to enjoy it again when berries are in season. Every bite of the meal was a masterpiece, but that dessert will live in our memories forever. Do yourself a favor and make this a priority when you visit Paris. And when you go, be sure to ask about the artwork on the walls and the owner’s family heritage. It is a story as beautiful as the food itself.
