Mother India sur Nice

Four of us decided after walking through Nice's Vielle Ville to switch our dinner reservations to Mother India, and sacre bleu, are we glad we did! The atmosphere is very cozy (it's a relatively small restaurant) and very nicely decorated. Don't let the entrance put you off. The waitstaff was welcoming and very friendly, offering suggestions and answering any questions. The starters were all excellent, the garlic naans perfect. Our four different mains were all extremely well done - we shared. For the price, we ate extremely well! Even though reservations might not be necessary around 7 or 7:30, you might make one anyway, just in case, as it can fill up quickly. We really appreciated having a reservation as a backup - not every place does that. Thanks Mother India for a wonderful night in Nice!

As a resident of Old Nice, this has been one of our go-to spots since 1997! The welcome, the quality, and everything else are top-notch. Christian

We had dinner last night at this restaurant, which we booked randomly (after checking the reviews), and it was a wonderful discovery! The food was incredibly delicious and very generous, the staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was very welcoming. We will definitely return and will recommend it to our friends and family.

I was walking past Mother India when the wonderful aroma of Indian spices immediately caught my attention. It smelled so inviting that I stopped to look at the menu and then stepped inside for a quick look at the restaurant. I did not have a meal on this occasion, so my review is based only on my first impression of the place. The interior felt warm, colourful, and full of character, with a pleasant atmosphere that suits Indian cuisine very well. The restaurant looked clean and welcoming, and the fragrance coming from the kitchen made the food seem especially tempting. I also spent some time looking through the menu. There appeared to be a good variety of Indian dishes, including starters, tandoori options, rice dishes, naan, and several familiar favourites. The menu was clear and reasonably easy to understand. Although I cannot yet comment on the taste of the food or the table service, the overall first impression was very positive. The atmosphere, interior, and delicious aroma made me interested in returning properly for dinner. I would definitely like to come back and try the food during a future visit.

Delicious food paired with incredible service! Haritha and Ankit took such great care of us and made the experience top-tier. Bonus: the mango lassi is so good it can heal a sad heart. Highly recommend!

I found this restaurant thanks to an app that counts calories by taking a picture of my plate. These samosas were exactly what I needed in terms of calories. The dish was tasty and well-presented. The place is quiet and pleasant.

Great food and really good staff. Definitely worth visiting. As an Indian, I can def recommend the food here. The staff is great too. Specially Mr Patel who was serving us.
