The price-quality ratio is okay, but it's not the best Japanese restaurant I've ever eaten at. The food is average, maybe it's a matter of taste. The ramen is better than the curry rice, and the atmosphere is nice, but nothing special.

A very welcoming restaurant with attentive and helpful staff. Great atmosphere overall, and the restaurant is well laid out. We ordered and it was ready in no time! The food was delicious, I highly recommend it :) Thank you for a great experience!

As someone who goes to Japan quite regularly, I would say that the food here was completely authentic. I had the ramen and the special, and was pleasantly surprised to be delighted by both. Hidden gem in the city, I’d highly recommend if you’re craving asian food or something refreshing in this hot weather.

Recently renovated, the restaurant has thankfully retained its charming midnight canteen vibe, which suits it perfectly. Take advantage of the evening menu (from 6:30 pm) to sample a variety of dishes such as gyoza, takoyaki (the best in the neighborhood), mabo-nasu, and maguro-natto. The zaru soba/udon (served cold and also available at lunchtime) are also excellent. The service is quick. For dinner, try to arrive by 7 pm at the latest, otherwise you'll have to wait in line on the sidewalk.

18/04/2026: Great! Always as good as usual. You can find better in Paris, but Sushi Shop's consistency means I come back very regularly. Plus, it's open all afternoon. That's super convenient for ordering takeout as a new parent.

14/05/2026: An excellent spot to enjoy authentic and affordable Japanese cuisine in Paris's 16th arrondissement. Having grown up in Japan, I know Japanese food very well, and I can say that the dishes served here are truly authentic. Even though the owners aren't Japanese, the flavors are spot-on and the ingredients are of very high quality. I've been there several times and have never been disappointed. The quality is consistent, the portions generous, and the prices quite reasonable. The service is also very warm and attentive. A small suggestion to make the atmosphere even more pleasant: some background music would be nice, and it might be best if children did their homework away from the dining area. That said, the food and service definitely deserve 5 stars. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for authentic and affordable Japanese cuisine in Paris.
