I was greeted by a lovely gentleman. FLAN REVIEW: What a treat! The filling is delicate yet quite flavorful. The proportions are absolutely perfect, a beautiful balance, and it leaves you wanting more. AND that VANILLA... The pastry was slightly undercooked, but that was perfectly fine with me. A beautiful color on top, and a pleasant, slightly sticky texture. 5/5

We went there specifically to buy the Swiss Man pastry; we also tried some cookies and cakes, and everything was delicious. The saleswoman who served us was a bit unpleasant when we asked her to give us four pieces of the Swiss Man pastry.

A legendary Valenciennes establishment since 1848, Maison Nivon in the city center could use a larger dining area. The cakes are excellent and the service is perfect.

It's a real shame. I like this store, but it's like playing the lottery. It all depends on who you get. One day it goes very well, with the gentlemen welcoming you enthusiastically. Then the next day, the young ladies prefer to chat amongst themselves and make you wait...

I'm only giving 4 stars. Please bring back the hot sandwiches, they're so good, and update your drive-thru signs. Otherwise, the service is still great and friendly.

Excellent place. During an unexpected stop, we had sandwiches with a line of bread and a St Génies cheese: a delight for the palate.
