I wanted to love this place. I got excited to see this on Michelin Guide and wanted my eel fix. I’ve been to Japan 3 times and this was not the same experience. The eel was just ok, nothing special about it. It lacked the outer crispiness/char and didn’t have enough umami. The food came out so fast that unfortunately it didn’t feel like there was a more thoughtful preparation of this beautiful ingredient.

For a long time, I've been dreaming of tasting Japanese eel, and I finally found the ideal place! 🐍🍽️
The service is typically Japanese, pleasant and very attentive. 🙇♂️🇯🇵
The dishes are delicious and refined, a real treat for the taste buds! 😋👨🍳
The dessert of the day was perfectly in line with my expectations. 🍮👌
My only regret? Didn't order more eel! 😅 But it gives me an excellent excuse to come back (gluttony obliges)! 🤤🔄
A culinary experience not to be missed! 🥢🎎

I ate eel alone for lunch. It was not a thick, plump eel with a lot of fat, but a thin, refreshing eel with a light texture that tasted like white fish. Those who like refreshing eel may like this flavor. The inside of the store was very Japanese and clean.

Unusual Japanese restaurant where you only eat eel accompanied in various ways. Service a little too fast, you don't have time to eat before they already take your plate away... a little too expensive for the offer, but the location near the Louvre is perhaps the reason.

An authentic unagi restaurant nestled in the heart of Paris, just a stone’s throw from the Louvre and Palais Royal. The unagi is prepared from scratch, starting with whole, locally sourced eels, and it comes remarkably close to the flavors you’d find in Japan if you’ve ever had unagi there. Desserts are excellent as well, and the staff is exceptionally polite and accommodating. Highly recommended if you’re in the area and craving deliciously cooked, grilled eel.

Coup de cœur pour ce restaurant. L’ambiance est hyper apaisante. Les serveuses sont vraiment adorables ! Nous avons goûté aux anguilles qui sont absolument délicieuses !!! C’est fondant et hyper bien assaisonnée. Un vrai régal pour les papilles !!!!! Les accompagnements sont très bons également. Coup de cœur pour le flan aux anguilles. Les thés sont très bons et accompagnent bien le repas. Ce restaurant un véritable coup de cœur.
