Very beautiful setting and friendly staff

In a wonderful setting, for a large family gathering (29 people) on a Sunday at lunchtime, everything was perfect. The welcome, the service, and the food were all superb. We had a wonderful time. A great organization by a great team! Thank you all.

The place is nice and pleasant. The dishes were generally good and well-presented, but we were disappointed with some. In particular, the baked egg was a hard-boiled egg in a Maroilles cheese cream. And the Welsh rarebit was far too overcooked; it was a crust of overcooked cheese with too much mustard seeds—inedible. Otherwise, the meat was good. However, the service was very slow, not suitable for families with children. It would have been helpful to offer to bring the children's meals at the same time as the adults' starters, especially given the lengthy service.

We go on Sunday to enjoy a drink by this beautiful park and lake. A wonderful, simple, warm, and absolutely essential welcome.
