Lacour

31/08/2024: Very good restaurant which is also a hotel located near the station. Now they have installed a real electrical terminal I recommend
25/08/2024: Hotel de la Gare. 20, Rue du Rail, 05600, France Belongs to the attached Hotel Lacour. Overnight stay from August 18th to 19th, 24th. Arrive around 5:00 p.m. Reception with a very friendly lady. She seems to be running the hotel “single-handedly”. Therefore the reception is only staffed until around 8:00 p.m. From this point on, access to the hotel only with a PIN code (never lose or forget it!!!). Room, shower, toilet not the most modern but sufficiently clean. The tip about where to eat nearby was a hit: “La bonne Table”. From the outside it's a small fast food joint. The food was delicious: plated meal with salad with yoghurt sauce, couscous, kebab meat, grilled vegetables. A fair deal for €16. The bar attached to the hotel was not open on the evening of arrival - a shame, as the “after-work beer” was missing. However, the breakfast was very good and had everything you needed: coffee, tea, juices, rolls, croissants, cold cuts, yoghurt, fruit, eggs, hash browns, sausages... Definitely worth recommending for the price of €61!

10/09/2024: Very good food with great taste in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere.
06/09/2024: Really quality cuisine, with real research into the sauces. A super accessible chef (Claire) who loves her job, you can see (and feel) it on the plates! Flawless, from aperitif to dessert. Really homemade, which is increasingly rare, and high quality local products. We tasted the gratin of ravioli with Queyras blue cheese, a treat and very hearty, the absolutely divine homemade Burger (with its candied onions, homemade bun, excellent meat cooked to perfection, with Queyras blue cheese), the duck breast with sauce with red fruits, and tiramisu. The plates are very generous. Very good wines (and good food and wine pairing advice from our waitress), and the icing on the cake: an excellent génep. A great discovery, the Guillestrin will undoubtedly see us again!
