A wonderful discovery. Traditional home cooking and quality ingredients. Unbeatable value for money at lunchtime. Located in the very pleasant castle district.

I stumbled upon this restaurant while looking for local cuisine, and I wasn't disappointed at all, quite the opposite. If you like cassoulet, I highly recommend it; the food is excellent and the staff are friendly. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Pau 😋

Pleasant welcome, the chicken with ham was good, however there was a small mistake with my dessert so coffee was offered. I recommend it

After our visit to the castle, we had lunch at this establishment. Excellent service from the welcome to the food. Very good garbure (cabbage and bean soup) and chicken in a pot. We weren't disappointed.

A huge thank you to the managers and the entire kitchen and service team who worked on New Year's Day 2026 (and the day before as well) and once again delighted us. L'O GASCON has earned the respect of its clientele by offering them relaxing moments during the holiday season with menus that were affordable for their customers for New Year's. Without their understanding of everyone's financial difficulties, we wouldn't have been able to enjoy such a pleasant lunch. There were three of us (instead of four) and we have excellent memories of their professional dedication. There was a bit of a wait, but it wasn't a problem at all (the restaurant was fully booked), and besides, it was a pleasure. As is often the case, the staff depends on it? So, credit is due.

New Year's Eve Dinner The service wasn't great. We ordered an aperitif, and they brought us the starter first. They brought us the wine after we'd already eaten the starter. Very disappointed.
