O'TO sur Cholet

We discovered Oto shortly after moving to Cholet 13 years ago, and it quickly became a favorite. The food is delicious, prepared with fresh ingredients, and the service is always welcoming and attentive. This establishment truly deserves to be better known, because despite its qualities, it remains relatively unknown, probably due to its location. In addition, the value for money is excellent, which is a definite plus. A wonderful discovery that I wholeheartedly recommend: once you've tried it, it's hard not to go back!

Traveling for work in this area from time to time, we went to OTO because I had fond memories of it. We ordered the Chrono menu, and frankly, the dish was rather basic (chicken and rice), a very simple choice, but the portion size was outrageous—far too small to fill us up. Luckily, there was bread. Honestly, paying €19.90 for a dessert, a mini gourmet tea (three small pastries), is a bit much. I don't think I would have complained about the price if it had been €14.90 for a main course and dessert, but they're really pushing the price of the menu. I know restaurants in the city center that are much cheaper, more generous, and just as good. The Chrono menu is best avoided.
