Papy Joe sur Lorient

🍔🔥 Big crush on Papy Joe in Lorient! I went to check out Papy Joe and honestly, I loved the experience! It has everything you love about a good American diner: delicious smash burgers, hot dogs, homemade tenders… with quality ingredients and, above all, a really welcoming team. The concept is really cool, with a 90s vibe, arcade games, foosball, darts… and the best part: everything is free to play! 🎮🎯 There are also screens to watch sporting events and a happy hour. In short, you don't just come to eat, you come to have a good time. I tried the Bacon Beast Master, the Avocado Hot Dog, and the Caesar Salad. Everything was delicious, with a special mention for the burger: the three smash patties with cheddar and bacon are seriously good! 😂🔥 A place I highly recommend if you're ever in Lorient. A great find and definitely a place I'll gladly return to!

Great place for sporting events

Finally, some really good homemade fries! Nice and fluffy, not those sad, dry fries with more air than potatoes inside. Visually, they're a little off-putting because they're darker than usual and look overcooked, but they're actually very good! However, I was a little disappointed with the takeaway portion. The first time I went, I got a small brown box with no logo. It looked really small when I held it, but it was actually quite full of small, fluffy fries with no gaps between them, so it really filled me up. But the second time, I got a long, narrow box with "Papy Jo" written on it. This time the fries were a bit bigger, and only the bottom of the box was full—a bit meager for what they call a "plate of fries" at that price. So for the 3rd one I got fries from a fairground vendor, marked "fresh fries" which must indeed have been very cold in the freezer, but at least I got a big cone twice as full (admittedly less good, but the goal is also to feed oneself).

A great find! While looking for a restaurant for a relatively late dinner in Lorient, this one was recommended to us. Simple but very good cuisine, with quality products, very friendly and attentive staff, unusual decor, I highly recommend it.

I appreciated the atmosphere and the welcome, it was particularly popular with the children, but unfortunately the food lacked flavor, what a shame!
