This restaurant is well worth a visit. It's located near the port in a side street, but away from the crowds, which is perfect for a peaceful dinner. One of the best places I tried during my (short) stay in La Rochelle. There's a bit of a wait between ordering and receiving your meal, but it's worth it considering the quality of the ingredients and the skill with which the dishes are prepared. Special mention goes to the octopus; as a fan of this dish, I rarely eat it so well cooked. Very flavorful and delicious. I highly recommend it.

The dishes were a little different from other restaurants in La Rochelle, and that's a good thing!
It was delicious... and the service was very pleasant.
And the chocolate mousse (photo)... a real treat.

After reading the various reviews, we decided to treat ourselves and eat at this restaurant. The welcome was warm and friendly. However, we were all disappointed by the value for money. We ordered different dishes, and considering the prices, nothing was particularly impressive: an undercooked chicken leg, rather small portions, and a very basic burger. Nothing exceptional, in short, which is a real shame.

Thoroughly recommend. Food was superb as was the dry white wine. It was dog friendly and in a great location. A must visit!

What a great place in La Rochelle! A set menu (starter/main/dessert) for €21, a simple market menu prepared fresh to order by the chef in the open kitchen. The menu is simple but very effective, which is exactly what you're looking for. Great decor, don't forget to use the restrooms! And be sure to try the chocolate mousse with olive oil, salt, and Espelette pepper.

The only slight drawback was the rather unappetizing presentation of the chocolate mousse; however, I highly recommend the octopus – it was delicious!

A nice little restaurant. Warm welcome. Very good home-style cooking, we thoroughly enjoyed it. The portion was a little small for me, but perfect for my wife! The menu has a good selection and a bit of a bistro atmosphere.
