Parenti et Fils sur Propriano

An institution since 1935… and by far the best restaurant in Propriano ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ There are restaurants where you eat very well… and then there are establishments that leave a lasting impression. Chez Parenti clearly belongs to the latter category. Founded in 1935 and passed down through generations, this institution is the oldest restaurant in Propriano. An address steeped in history, it survived the war and we were told about its involvement in the Resistance. Even before discussing the cuisine, it's clear that this is not just any restaurant. We started with foie gras and fish soup: two completely different starters, but both remarkable. Then came the centerpiece of the dinner: a superb lobster from the tank, served with linguine. The product, the cooking, the flavors… everything was absolutely exceptional. The "Le Général" vintage wine complemented this meal perfectly. To finish, we tasted the two desserts, "Chocolate" and "Strawberry." It was impossible to choose between the two: each had its own distinct character and perfectly concluded the experience. And as if the cuisine and the view of the port weren't enough, the Corsican songs that resonated during the show transported the evening to another dimension. For a few hours, we truly experienced a timeless interlude. Since I developed a passion for fine dining, very few places have impressed me so much. Parenti goes straight, without the slightest hesitation, into my personal top three. And after trying several restaurants in Propriano, for me, there's no question: it's by far the best. Memorable cuisine, a story, a soul, and a magical setting. Parenti isn't just a restaurant to recommend: it's an experience to share. If you could only remember one address in Propriano, it would be this one.

I highly recommend this restaurant!! Located on the harbor, you can enjoy lunch or dinner with a magnificent view. The staff is incredibly attentive, and we took their recommendation to order the lobster prepared two ways: a real treat! Cheese lovers, don't hesitate to order the cheese platter; it's well worth it! For dessert, the macaron wasn't too sweet and was perfectly balanced. A wonderful discovery!

This restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide and has a lovely view of the port, but the food is expensive for what it is: the fish of the day for two was pollack at €95 for two plates—not great… In short, it's up to you, and the taste isn't anything to write home about.
